In this final installment of Summer Musical Journeys with Texas Camerata, our Tenth Stop takes us once again to England to hear the music of Georg Frideric Handel. This trio sonata movement, which displays the influence of Handel’s German roots and his travels in Italy, features Dolores August, Kristin Van Cleve, Sarah Freiberg and Robert August.
Our Ninth Stop takes us to Germany to hear music for Baroque trumpets performed by Adam Gordon and Leigh Anne Hunsaker, and harpsichordist Brian Bentley.
Our eighth stop takes us to the Viennese Court and the music of Johannes Schmelzer, performed by Adam Gordon and Leigh Anne Hunsaker on Baroque trumpets and Brian Bentley on harpsichord.
In our fifth stop we continue to explore the English Baroque with our friends from Boston, Dee and Robert August, who will perform a work by John Frederick Ranish, a noted 18th century performer and composer.
Our fourth stop on our Summer Musical Journey features music for Baroque Trumpet. Adam Gordon and Leigh Anne Hunsaker, with Brian Bentley on harpsichord, perform fanfares and duos from Merry Olde England!
