Nationally Acclaimed Baroque Ensemble

About Texas Camerata

“The highly satisfying … concert was among the best offered this season by an ensemble that seems to top itself with each outing. It shook and stirred beauty, variety and abundant intellectual and aesthetic interest.”

— Punch Shaw, Fort Worth Star-Telegram

In 2004, Fort Worth Early Music became Texas Camerata to reflect the organization’s increased outreach in North Texas and beyond. Proudly based in Fort Worth, the group is dedicated to performing the music of the Baroque and Classical eras with an emphasis on historical style. Texas Camerata has presented numerous concerts as part of the Boston Early Music Festival concurrent events series to rave reviews.

Offering a four-concert subscription series in Fort Worth and additional concerts throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Texas Camerata’s programs combine a captivating mix of familiar and less well-known vocal and instrumental chamber music. Introducing their audience to “hidden gems,” while simultaneously giving fresh interpretations to familiar favorites remains the primary focus of Texas Camerata.
